Driving back to our inn after a long day in Baxter State Park, nothing was open except this place. And they were closing in like 10 minutes. They seated us with a smile and were friendly. The broasted chicken and mashed potatoes was just the comfort food I needed, yum.

I visited this area of Maine 2 - 4 times per year for long week-ends. The Nor'easter is always a stop. The fried cauliflower keeps us coming back. Get it with ranch dressing!

I agree -- this place could have better service! I am deducting a star because of the poor service. There is only one waitress that is nice... she is the lady with brown hair, she always was very attentive to us. The younger blond-strawberry blond girl has such a detached attitude, and she really could put a smile on. Never liked her. Now to the food: It is good for its location! The burgers are good... but the best is the broiled chicken! So so goooooooood! And healthy! Even though you feel like you are eating fried chicken, you are not. It is worth raveling far just for some dinner there. I wish they would open later. After all, I'm a New Yorker and I eat dinner late. Nor'easter closes at 8p., sometimes earlier, never later.

We absolutely love this place. The people are nice, the prices are great, the food is delicious. This time I had the lobster roll and a cup of clam chowder. My husband had the broasted chicken and ribs. Our server was an absolute doll. We will be back.

Wasn't expecting to like this place. Didn't look like much from the outside. The service was great. The French Onion soup was a highlight for me. Seafood lovers will be pleased.

Surprisingly solid eats in DF! Decided to stop here last minute after rain started. Quickly checked yelp and saw positive reviews and I totally agree with them. Full menu and reasonable prices. French onion soup was nice. Fried lemon pepper haddock was excellent. Not too much breading and good flavor. Kids meals were a hit as well. Definitely worth a visit.

Today, I had a great meal. The haddock chowder was delicious....big pieces of haddock and overall very, very fresh. The fish and chips were very good. Moist haddock, fried to perfection. The portions were large and the price was right. It's a must-stop-spot if you're in the area.

Great homemade food. Yummy baked haddock, clam chowder, and apple crisp. Desserts are homemade except peanut butter pie

Wow!! What a surprise, my first visit here and I had the buffalo chicken sandwich with ranch and man was it good. Also had the tortilla soup, also good. Lisa was the server and she did a great job, very friendly and fast service. This will be on my favorite lost for sure.

Wicked good chowdah, and lots of blue hairs with big butts at lunch time. Super polite staff. A winner for the back woods - yes'er.

Dover-Foxcroft is an unlikely place to find great fried clams and a respectable lobster roll. Yet the Nor'easter, right off of Dover-Foxcroft's main drag a good one-and-a-half hours from the sea, offers up surprisingly good coastal comfort food for a reasonable price. Not only is the Nor'easter the best place in town to get great food (the fried clams were actually remarkable, dredged in a highly seasoned and very flavorful batter before frying. Mmm), it may be the only place in town for a real sit-down meal. Sure there's the dairy bar and the snack shack, but when you want more than a burger or a neon-red dog, the Nor'easter is the place to go. When in the Sebec area, make sure to check it out.
